About

Willow Springs Farm at Sunset
My grandfather, Edgar Howell Mitchell, grew up in Dayton, Ohio. Although he was a trained draftsman for Fridgedaire, he always yearned for the country life. He had steady employment during the Depression and was thrifty. By the mid 1930s, he had purchased a farm house and acreage at least 15 miles north of his Dayton home. My father, Robert Earl Mitchell, often talked about riding his bicycle from Dayton to the farm, peddling up the gravel road that led to the long country lane.
Following dad’s death last July, my family moved to Willow Springs Family Farm. We are proud to be the third generation to enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful property.
